Terms of service
Effective date: 20 October 2026
These terms apply to Chip Sync, operated by Built Kosher Ltd ("we", "us" or "our"). Contact us at support@builtkosher.com. By choosing to use Chip Sync, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not connect your Google account.
1. The service
Chip Sync connects supported Google Contacts, Google Calendar and Google Tasks information with native apps on compatible Chip phones. You select which services to authorise. Sign-in happens through Google's own website on a computer or another phone. Connecting Google is optional.
Syncing works with supported fields and available APIs. It is not a complete Google application, a general-purpose browser or a replacement for an independent backup. Exact timed Google Tasks reminders are not supported. Some features may require compatible phone software, internet access or additional setup.
2. Eligibility and your account
You must be at least 13, meet any higher minimum age required where you live or by Google, and have authority to connect the Google account and phone. If you are below the age at which you can agree to these terms on your own, a parent or guardian must provide any required agreement. Do not connect another person's or organisation's account without permission. Work or school administrators may restrict access.
Keep your phone and Google account secure. Enter a pairing code only when it is displayed on your own phone. Do not share passwords, access tokens or pairing codes with anyone, including support. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use.
3. Permission to synchronise
When you connect an account, you authorise us to access and process the supported information needed for the services you choose, and to carry out sync actions you request. This can include creating, changing and deleting Google records to reflect supported changes made on your phone. You retain ownership of your content; we receive only the permission needed to provide the service as described in the privacy policy.
Review the permissions shown by Google before agreeing. Adding a service may require further permission. You can pause supported services or disconnect. Removing authorisation in your Google account can disconnect every phone using that grant.
4. Responsible use
Use the service lawfully and only for accounts and information you are entitled to use. Do not attempt to access another person's data, bypass authentication or rate limits, extract credentials, disrupt the service, send malicious requests or use the connection for unlawful activity. You are responsible for the information you choose to sync and for respecting other people's rights.
5. Availability and your data
Sync may be delayed by connectivity, phone settings, provider quotas, maintenance or service failures. Changes can take time to appear and conflicts may require attention. Check important edits and deletions, maintain an appropriate independent backup and do not rely on the service as the sole method for urgent or safety-critical reminders.
We may change, limit or suspend the service to maintain security, comply with law or provider rules, or address abuse. Where reasonably possible, we will give notice of material changes or discontinuation, except where urgent action is needed. No uptime or permanent availability guarantee is made by these terms.
6. Google and other providers
Chip Sync is a service from Built Kosher Ltd, not a service operated, sponsored or endorsed by Google. Google products and marks belong to their respective owner. Your use of Google services remains subject to Google's terms and policies. Cloudflare supplies hosting and infrastructure. Third-party changes can affect available features.
Our handling of Google data is governed by the commitments in our privacy policy and the Google API Services User Data Policy, including Limited Use requirements.
7. Stopping use and deletion
You can stop using the service and disconnect your phone. You can also remove Chip Sync's access at Google Account connections. To request deletion of our connection records, email support@builtkosher.com; we may verify account ownership.
Disconnecting stops future syncing but does not itself delete Google records or copies already on a phone. Retention and recovery-copy handling are explained in the privacy policy. Disconnection does not cancel any separate phone purchase or other agreement you have with us.
8. Your legal rights
We will provide the service with the care required by applicable law. Subject to that law, it is provided on an as-available basis and we do not promise that every third-party record or feature can be synchronised without interruption or error. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, or takes away mandatory consumer or data-protection rights.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service develops. We will show the effective date and provide appropriate notice of material changes. If you do not agree to changed terms, stop using the service and disconnect. Additional uses of Google data require the disclosures and permission described in the privacy policy.
